NEW
for V1.07 - Added support for passive FTP.
NEW
for V1.06 - Improved installer with support
for multiple users in XP. Unfortunately, this creates
a much larger installation file. Added a right-click
menu when minimized in the taskbar that allows the user to
easily disable "Capture and Send". Corrected
a mistake that caused the second icon in the task bar to be
activated when clicking on Cam Commander. Also, Cam
Commander will be activated by a single click instead of a
double-click. Fixed a reported bug that generated a
"capture.bmp not found" message.
The
folks at OrangeMicro sent me a copy of their WebCamDV
which provides a driver to support digital video cameras via
firewire. The frame rate is good. The quality of the picture
is determined by your camera. It works well with Cam Commander
and any other program that uses standard video drivers. Thanks
again to OrangeMicro.

Cam
Commander is simple web cam application intended for users
that have a "hard" web connection such as a cable
modem. Cam Commander will snap pictures periodically from
the cam and upload it to your web site. A preview mode is
included for setup but can be disabled to reduce the drain
on your CPU. Cam Commander hides in the system tray and can
be disabled if needed.
The
program is freeware and doesn't have any of those annoying
"ads" that other "free" programs stamp
onto your captured pictures. If you use Cam Commander for
your web site, all I ask is that you give me credit and include
a link back here.
